On Apple iOS devices it's possible to use a Socket Mobile reader in Application Mode and read data into applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, Notes, or when scanning into a web-based text field. Please follow the instructions below:

Please ensure your reader is sufficiently charged. If your reader is brand new it requires an initial charge of up to 8 hours.

How do I replace my DuraScan battery?

It is not possible to replace a battery in an older version of either the DuraScan D600 or D700 series reader.

If your DuraScan D600 or D700 series is the later v21 version, please follow the instructions below.

Use screw driver to loosen screw and remove battery door.
Remove Battery
Use a flat head screw driver and place in the top right corner to gently push the battery out. Then, pull the connector to remove.
Insert New Battery
Plug the connector on the new battery.
Secure Battery Door
Ensure the battery door is properly placed, then screw the battery door back on.

Why isn’t my DuraScan charging?

The wrong charging cable may have been used. The DuraScan 700 v20 series has its own designated charging cable. The charging plug for the DuraScan 700 v20 series is longer than previous cables, accommodating the charging jack in the v20 scanner. Other charging cables will not charge the DuraScan 700 v20 scanners.
