OCR-A Barcode

OCR-A is a font created in 1968 that uses simple, thick strokes to form recognizable characters.  The font is monospaced and the design is simple so that it can be easily read by a scanner.

Programming

OCR-A is supported on D740, D745, D755, D760, D860, DS860, S740, and S860 Socket Mobile barcode scanners. You can enable or disable this symbology on your Socket Mobile scanner simply by scanning the codes below.

Note: Scanner must be in a disconnected state before scanning the command barcode.

Note: D740, D745, and S740 supports OCR symbologies if your scanner has a Green scan LED.
